Description
The Speyside distillery, producing SPEY single malt whisky, was built by hand from 1962 to 1987 by George Christie near Kingussie in the Scottish Highlands. With some of Scotland's smallest copper pot stills, the distillery began production in 1990 and was relaunched globally after 2012, though it ceased operations in May 2025, becoming one of Scotland's 'lost' distilleries.
