Pueblo Viejo's tequila-making history began in 1886 when Don Delfino González started small-scale production in Magdalena, Jalisco. The distillery relocated to Ojo de Agua in Los Altos de Jalisco in 1940 and is now produced at Casa San Matias, one of the oldest distilleries in Jalisco, using 100% blue agave from the Highlands region.
